Turkish president says he is happy with mining deals in Africa


Several Turkish companies have signed booking notes for coopetruturadoras de quijadas usadasration with mining firms in Ghana and Gabon, Turkish President Abdullah Gül has said. The president called his visit to Africa fruitful on Saturday, at his return to the country from his fourth African tour.


His visit was successful for the promotion of Turkey's strategies, Gül said. "We have signed political, economic and military agreements," he told a press conference at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport. Infrastructure and housing investments were crucial in Ghana and Gabon, and these countries are rich in mines, he said. "I am glad to learn that our companies interested in mining have undersigned significant booking notes during this visit," Gül said. During his tour, the Turkish president attended business meetings held by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey, or TUSKON, in Ghana and Gabon.
