Omineca commences drilling program at Kiwi Gold project

Omineca Mining and Metals has mobilised equipment and csand washing machine bahrainrew to commence diamond drilling activity on its 100% owned Kiwi project located 70 km northeast of Ross River, in central Yukon. The $200,000 program will consist of 375 m in 3 holes, and is expected to take 5 days to complete.

Drilling follows fieldwork completed in 2010. The Kiwi property consists of 32 units (668 ha) located 25km west of the North Canol Road which overlie high-grade gold occurrences associated with intrusive rocks in contact with silicified shales with controlling east-west dilational structural features. Past operators reported in-situ visible gold with analytical values of up to 115 g/t gold and 32 g/t Ag reported from a grab sample at the VG/Discovery Showing.
