Anglo American appoints Anne Stevens to the Board
Anglo American is pleased to announce the appointment to its Board of Anne Stevens as a non-executive director, with immediate effect.
Anne Stevens is an engineer with extensive industrial experience across the global automotive, aerospace and oil sectors. Anne has served on the Board of Lockheed Martin Corporation as a non-executive director since 2002 and spent most of her executive career at the Ford Motor Company, ultimately as Chief Operations Officer for the Americas. In recent years, she was Chairman, CEO and President of Carpenter Technology Corp., a leader in the fabrication of speciality metals and alloys used in industrial, aerospace, medical and consumer applications.

Anne Stevens was Chief Operating Officer for the Americas for Ford Motor Company until 2006, the culmination of her 16 year career at the company. Anne has served on the Board of Lockheed Martin Corporation as a non-executive director since 2002 and is also the Chairman and CEO of a privately held IT services business, SA IT.
Anne graduated in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Ford in 1990, Anne spent ten years in a number of engineering, product development and sales and marketing roles at Exxon Chemical.
