The Major Styles & Functions of Crushing Equipment


So far, there are many styles of crushers. According to the principle acting force of crushing materials, they are roughly divided into compressive crusher, impact crusher, shear-type crusher, rotary crusher, and cone crusher.


Shear-type Crusher


It includes dental-type sizing crusher, double pin roll classifier, WMG roll crusher of Germany, and the double pin roll crusher produces by KRUPP company of Germany. Mainly through effect of cut, stretch, bend, pierce, snap, separation, materials can be crushed. Filly utilize the of rock, coal and coke, etc: pressive strength>tensile strength>slip resistance. Owing to advanced crushing principle, this crusher obviously functions energy-saving.


Main Characteristics of Shear-type Sizing Crusher are:


①Double effects of crushing and classification


The new tooth-type sizing crusher: crushing tooth is spirally fixed up on the pin roll, and two rolls are in relative movement like rotary grizzly screen. For materials smaller than size of product, they will be screened out; for lump materials, they will be crushed. Therefore, it can avoid materials in the crusher mingling with crushing defects. This crusher capabilities double effects of crushing and classification, it can finish operation of crushing and screening alone in a certain range. Screening plants don’t need allocating, which can simplifier system and save invest.


②Strictly guarantee size of products


This machine adopts fixed centre distance, forcedly crush the materials. The structure and size of pin roll is designed on basis of requirements of product size, which can strictly control the bulk of passed products. It is the gatekeeper of products’ final size. It functions with qualified and epigranular products, low production of slack coal, energy-saving, low productive maintenance fee.


③ Extremely low over-grinding efficiency


Adopting the shear principle, the particles smaller than required size can directly pass through, and for the materials bigger, crushing process is needed. It can avoid materials entering into the crusher mixed with crushed defects. So the over-grinding efficiency is extremely low. For hard materials like coal, coke, over-grinding efficiency is generally below 5%.


④ Simple structure, matched with advanced overload protective device


The long toothed gearing of traditional crusher and concession system are abandoned so as to reduce middle consumption and fault point. The whole machine is easy to operate, and the two rollers are fully symmetrical which possess good interchangeability. In addition to the overcurrent protective system and beltwork protection, special mechanical protector is equipped to ensure the reliable operation of the complete machines. Also, once the rotors are locked, the machine will autostop, and raise the alarm so as to protect the machine and the whole system.


⑤ Adjustable centre distance


Rigid adjustability is initiated at home on the premise that product’s size is ensured. With this function, centre distance can be easily, quickly adjusted according to requirements of product size. In production, if we choose the unreasonable crushing plants, not only unnecessary waste of energy will be caused, but also disposal cost of tailings will be raised for the increase of slack coal content, or coal marketing will be influenced because of unqualified size of products, which will directly damage the economic benefit of enterprise.


Compressive Crusher


Compressive crushers mainly include jaw crusher, roller crusher of plain or trough tooth surface, etc. The operating principle is: materials are crushed by the compression, separation and bend action between fixed dental plate and movable dental plate. Materials are crushed together in crushing cavity, which will easily cause crashing and produce large sheet products. So this crusher can’t ensure the size of products and consume much energy. It is mainly used to crush hard materials, and is widely applied to fields of metal mine and crushing stones.


Impact-type Crusher


Impact-type crushers mainly include affect crusher, ring-hammer-type crusher, etc. In the crusher, with the run-up hammer blowing, materials fly to influence plate as high speed, impact, and reverse effects. Meanwhile, materials impression and crush with other in cavity, part of the materials get cut by the action of strike blade and effects plate. With bad controllability, this method will produce massive coal ash; it’s even worse for coal of low hardness and high brittleness. Also, it is not suitable to the rough and secondary crushing process. However, it is suitable to be adopted in crashing process.
